About the Speaker:
Kahi Ching is a Honolulu-born fine art painter and sculptor with more than 35 years of experience working across painting, ceramics, wood sculpture, metal, mixed media and beyond. He began creating at a young age, selling his first painting at 11 and earning four gold keys and Best Portfolio at the Scholastic Art Awards by 17. Rather than settling into a single style, Kahi continues to explore new mediums and creative territory, with work shaped by his multicultural heritage, connection to nature and personal and spiritual experiences. At the heart of his practice is a commitment to creating from the inside out and making work that connects with people in a meaningful way.
