SALT at Our Kaka’ako is excited to participate in the 30th Annual Hawaii Foodbank Food Drive Day on April 13, the #BeatHungerHi Food Drive is a new event developed by the Hawaii Foodbank’s Alakai Board. Young professional groups from around Hawaii will be joined by groups from local colleges to collaborate and promote a new food drive on behalf of the Hawaii Foodbank. From 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, food donation and monetary donation collection sites will take place on Auahi Street and Keawe Street. Donors are also encouraged to stay for a special evening of festivities at SALT at Our Kaka’ako, including complimentary yoga classes, art exhibitions and a beer garden. Donors that donate a minimum of $10 or a full bag of donations, will receive an exclusive pass* for SALT at Our Kaka’ako merchant discounts to use that day.
Lyft is offering special discounts for the evening. Use the code BEATTHEHUNGER19 for 20% off your ride to and from SALT at Our Kaka’ako. For new users, use BEATTHEHUNGERHI for a $20 credit. Businesses, organizations, groups and individuals are invited to host their own food and fund drives and drop off their donations to the #BeatHungerHI event site on April 13.

*pass can be only picked up during the event with a donation of $10 or a bag full of non-perishable food donations to the Hawaii Food Bank. Limit to one pass per person. Pass will be accepted until 9:00 PM that evening, some restaurants may accept the pass beyond that.
